About this tool
1920×1080 (Full HD, 16:9) is the standard size for most monitors, TVs, presentation slides and video frames.
With "Crop to fill" the image fills the whole 16:9 frame and the edges are trimmed evenly; choose "Fit inside" instead to keep the entire image, in which case one side may be shorter than 1080 or 1920.
Frequently asked questions
Will a small image be enlarged to 1920×1080?
In "Crop to fill" mode, yes — but enlarging a small image makes it soft. For the best result start from an image at least 1920 pixels wide.
Are my images uploaded to a server?
No. The image is decoded, processed and re-encoded entirely inside your browser using WebAssembly. Nothing is sent to us or anyone else, which also makes it fast — there is no upload or download wait.
